SLAVA UKRAINI

The Russian Federation attack on the nation of Ukraine has caused a humanitarian crises and tremendous loss of life. Already over 4 million refugees have fled Ukraine with many more still trying to flee the violence.

There is little that we can can do from a world away, but we can raise our voices and our funds to help. In our online store here on the webpage you will find a Slava Ukraini t-shirt where 100% of all profits will be donated to humanitarian aid for Ukraine. Additionally, we will be periodically releasing specific beers at the beer window raising additional funds.

BLACK LIVES MATTER

Black Lives Matter. As a society we must find new and better ways to address the systemic inequity and racism built into the fabric of our culture. Moonshrimp Brewing is proud to join with hundreds of breweries across the country in participating in the Black Is Beautiful initiative. Created by Weathered Souls Brewing Company in San Antonio, Texas, Black is Beautiful is "a collaborative effort to raise awareness for the injustices people of color face daily and raise funds for police brutality reform and legal defenses for those who have been wronged." Each participating brewery creates their own version of a dark beer and commits to donating the proceeds to a local organization supporting the Black community.

100% of the sales of our version of Black is Beautiful were donated to Don't Shoot PDX. In addition to their continual community support and policy advocacy, Don’t Shoot PDX is a driving force in the legal battles addressing the use of tear gas and excessive force by the police against protesters in Portland in the wake of George Floyd’s murder, as well as the continued over policing of local BIPOC communities. Learn more about Don't Shoot PDX at dontshootpdx.org.
